Eleanor G. Geuther, 81, of Mendota died April 10, 2017 in the Mendota Lutheran Home. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday in the Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church of Clarion with Rev. Kevin Weeks officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m., Monday in the Merritt Funeral Home, Mendota. Those attending her services are encouraged to wear their jeans and sweatshirts.

Eleanor was born November 16, 1935 in Mendota to Elmer W. and Lillian (Truckenbord) Bauer. She married Ralph Geuther on August 29, 1953.

She was a member of the Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church of Clarion. She was employed by the Wayside Press, Classon's Superfoods, Caron Yarn, and Heritage Health all located in Mendota. She was also an avid basketball fan following her grandchildren's games or the Chicago Bulls.

She is survived by two dauaghters; Lori (Keith) Rosenwinkel of Mendota and Sandy (Bob) Roseberg of Princeton; one son, Ronald (Janice) Geuther of LaMoiller; 7 grandchildren; Chad, Beth, Shellie, Scott, Zachary, Garrett and Elizabeth; 5 great-grandchildren, Tristan, Haylie, Alex, Dane, and Chase; three sisters, Janet (Jim) Schmidt, Linda (Edgar) Browder and Joanne (Tom) Maloy all of Mendota.

She was preceded by her husband on June 17, 2005 and also an infant brother.
