Elizabeth W. Johnson, 90,
of Freeport and formerly of
Arlington, died Oct. 10,
2015, in Liberty Village, Freeport.
Funeral services will be at
1 p.m. Thursday in Merritt
Funeral Home, Mendota.
Burial will be at Lost Grove
Cemetery, Arlington.
Visitation will be two
hours prior to services
Thursday at the funeral home.
A memorial service will
be at 5 p.m. Wednesday in
The Union Dairy, Freeport.
She was born May 31,
1925, in Youngdale, Pa., to
Merrill and Sarah (Morgan)
McKague. She married
Richard Harris who preceded
her in death. She
married Francis Johnson on
April 19, 1958, in Wisconsin
and he preceded her in
death on Jan. 25, 1994.
She was a member of
United Church of Christ in
Arlington. She was the head
cook at the K-12 grade
school in Leaf River before
her retirement.
She is survived by one
daughter, Margaret "Maggie"
Johnson of Freeport;
three sons, Lisle (Patricia)
Harris of Leaf River,
Richard "Chips" Harris of
Dragoon, Ariz. and Earl
(Chris) Johnson of Coppell,
Texas; 10 grandchildren;
seven great-grandchildren;
and one sister, Mary Graff
of Freeport.
In addition to her husbands,
she was preceded in
death by an infant daughter
and an infant brother.
