Elizabeth E. Kaufman, 88, of Mendota died March 22, 2010, in Heritage Manor Nursing Home, Mendota. Services will be at 11:30 a.m. Thursday in Merritt Funeral Home, Mendota, with the Rev. Michael Morrell officiating. Burial will be at Restland Cemetery, Mendota. Visitation is from 10 a.m. until time of services Thursday at the funeral home. She was born Nov. 9, 1921, in Amboy to Elmo and Florence (Powell) Litts. She married Arthur Kaufman on Aug. 21, 1947, in Amboy. Mrs. Kaufman is survived by one daughter Bonnie (Tom) Martin of Mendota; one son, Gene (Cathy) Kaufman of Ottawa; six grandchildren; nine greatgrandchildren; and one brother, Elmo Litts of Amboy. She was preceded in death by her husband on Feb. 19, 1972, and three brothers. Memorials may be directed to the family.
