Elizabeth "Cissy" N. Lucas, 56, of Mendota, passed away Thursday, June 1, 2023 at Aperion Care, Spring Valley surrounded by her family.

Private family only services will be Monday, June 12, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at the Merritt Funeral Home, Mendota with Rev. Mary Bohall officiating. Burial will be in Lutheran Cemetery, Mendota. Merritt Funeral Home, Mendota is assisting the family.

Elizabeth was born July 14, 1966 in Mendota to Richard and Sandra (Mitchell) Lucas.

Cissy was a 1985 graduate of Mendota High School. She worked at Horizon Industries in Peru after high school until four years ago. She loved the Chicago Cubs, participating in the Special Olympics, milkshakes, car rides after shopping and most of all her nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

She is survived by her three sisters Lee (Steven) Lemmer of Plymouth, Connie Lucas of Mendota and Carol (Randy Reinmann) Lucas of Utica; her aunt Barbara Mitchell of Peru and several nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a great niece Izzabella Lemmer.

Memorials may be directed to the Horizon House or the donor's choice.
