Obituary
Ellis L. Davis, 88, of Mendota died July 1, 2015, in Illinois Valley Community Hospital, Peru.
A private family funeral service will be in Merritt Funeral Home, Mendota, with the Rev. Michael Morrell officiating. Burial will be at Restland Cemetery, Mendota.
Mr. Davis was born Jan. 27, 1927, in Sublette to Floyd and Erma (Worsley) Davis. He graduated from Mendota High School in 1944.
He was an independent truck driver and farmed in Ophir Township before his retirement.
He is survived by one daughter, Connie (Ken) Arjes of Mendota; one son, Mark (Kathy) Davis of Mendota; a number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Eldon.
Memorials in memory of him may be directed to Triumph United Methodist Church.
