Emily E. Wulf, 93, of Mendota died May 10, 2009, in Mendota Community Hospital. Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in First United Methodist Church, Mendota, with the Rev. Michael Morrell officiating. Burial will be at Restland Cemetery, Mendota. Visitation is 4-6 p.m. Wednesday in Merritt Funeral Home, Mendota. She was born Jan. 4, 1916, in Stockton to Walter and Mary (Hill) Finkenbinder. She married Dallas Wulf on Dec. 21, 1935, in Naperville. Mrs. Wulf was a member of First United Methodist Church where she was a Sunday school teacher for more than 20 years, past president of United Methodist Women and the morning circle leader at the church. She graduated from Mendota High School in 1934 and Aurora Business College. She was a member of Mendota Golf Club for more than 50 years and was the woman's club champion four times during the 1950s. She is survived by her husband; two sons, Gary (Nancy) Wulf of Mendota and David Wulf of Lander,Wyo.; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by one sister and one brother. Memorials may be directed to First United Methodist Church.
