Erna Eich, 94, of Mendota
died Nov. 21, 2014, in
Liberty Village, Peru where
she had resided since April
2007.
Services will be at 11 a.m.
Wednesday in Merritt Funeral
Home, Mendota, with
the Rev. Timothy Kenyon
officiating. Burial will take
place at Restland Cemetery,
Mendota.
Visitation will be 4-6
p.m. Tuesday in the funeral
home.
She was born Sept. 24,
1920, in Oglesby to John
and Anna (Kopp) Radtke.
She began her studies in
nursing but changed her career
path when she married
Theodore Eich on June 27,
1942, in Kahoka, Mo. She
then farmed alongside her
husband in Paw Paw. She
was a member of St. John's
Lutheran Church, Mendota.
She is survived by one
daughter, Sue (Daniel)
Shirey of Mendota; one son,
Jack (Emelda) Eich of Morrison;
four grandchildren
and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in
death by her husband in
1999, six brothers and four
sisters. Memorials may be directed to the donors choice.
