Ernest C. Wilhelm, 79, formerly of West Brooklyn, passed away on Saturday, April 25, 2026, at Rush Copley Medical Center in Aurora. He was born February 6, 1947, in Mendota, the son of Casper and Betty Jane (Jones) Wilhelm.

Ernest is survived by his daughter, Erica (Jason) Linowski of Aurora; two grandchildren, Jayden and Carter Linowski; a sister, Mary (Dan) Wedemeyer; and two nieces.

In addition to his parents, Ernest is preceded in death by his first wife, Patricia; infant twin daughters and an infant son; and a brother, Keith Wilhelm.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12 Noon on Wednesday, April 29, 2026, at St. Mary Catholic Church, 2520 Johnson Street, in West Brooklyn with Father Randy Fronek officiating. Visitation will be from 10 A.M. until the time of the Mass at the church. Interment will follow in St. Mary Cemetery in West Brooklyn.
