Esther T. Chlebanowski, 84, of Mendota passed away Thursday, September 29, 2022 at Good Samaritan Hospital in Downers Grove.

Funeral services will be Wednesday at 12:00 p.m. in the Merritt Funeral Home, Mendota with Rev. Brian Kelly officiating. Private burial will be in Elm Lawn Cemetery in Elmhurst. Visitation will be Wednesday from 10:30 a.m. until time of services.

Esther was born October 21, 11937 in Chicago to Earl and Esther (Sorenson) Huff. She married Bernard Didricksen. He preceded her in death on June 1, 1996. She married Matthew Chlebanowski on June 11, 1998 and they moved to Mendota.

Esther attended school in Elgin. She was involved in various church groups and she held various jobs throughout the years. She enjoyed listening to Billy Graham. Since she did not drive, she enjoyed walking throughout Mendota. She also loved cooking and baking for her family. Esther always made sure children attended Sunday school.

She is survived by her husband Matthew Chlebanowski of Mendota; her son James (Laura) Didricksen of Utica; two daughters Patricia Didricksen of Ottawa and Sonja Mannella of Winfield; her twin sister Marie (James) Rubietta of Jefferson, Wisconsin; 8 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers and one sister.
