Everett (Mac) McFarland, 76, of Triumph died May 15, 2011, in Mendota Community Hospital. Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in Merritt Funeral Home, Mendota, with the Rev. Michael Morrell officiating. Burial will be at Restland Cemetery, Mendota. Visitation is 4-7 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home. Mr. McFarland was born March 14, 1935, in Carterville to Rockwell and Georgia (Baker) McFarland. He married Marjorie Dalton on Nov. 7, 1954, in Mendota. He was employed by Consolidated Freightways as a truck driver before his retirement. He is survived by his wife; one brother, Kenneth (Mary Jane) Cooper of Marion; one sister, Clola (Ronald) Bohannon of Gary, Ind.; nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two sisters and one brother. Memorials may be directed to Illinois Valley Animal Rescue, Peru.
