Felipe Hernandez Jr., 34, of Mendota died July 22, 2016, in his home after an extended illness.

A Mass of Christian burial will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday in Holy Cross Church, Mendota with the Rev. Peter Pilon officiating. Burial will be at Holy Cross Cemetery, Mendota.

Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Wednesday in Merritt Funeral Home, Mendota.

Felipe was born Oct. 4, 1981, in Chicago to Felipe and Mary (Buegel) Hernandez Sr.

He is survived by his father, Felipe (Victoria) Hernandez Sr. of Mendota; his mother, Mary Buegel; two daughters, Isabelle Hernandez and Donna Hernandez; stepchildren, Tisha, Collin, and Tegan; many aunts, uncles and cousins; three nieces and four nephews; his godparents, Jesse and Tracy Garcia; his brothers and sisters, Melody Hernandez, Adam Hernandez, Cecilia Garcia, Eric Hernandez, Philip Hernandez, Steven Hernandez, Roxanne Hernandez, and Sarah Perez.
