Fern Wangler, 98, of Mendota, went to be with the Lord on June 30, 2024.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, July 5, 2024 at the Merritt Funeral Home, Mendota with Rev. Jeff Brace officiating. Burial will be in Restland Cemetery, Mendota. Visitation will be held one hour prior the service.

Fern was born January 3, 1926 on her parents farm. She was the daughter of Leon and Marian (Wentch) Foiles. She married Wayne Wangler on June 23, 1944 in DeKalb.

Survivors include one son Gary (Maria) Wangler; one daughter Paula (Greg) Berry; five granchildren, Christa, Adam, Laura, Michaela and Kevin; three great grandchildren and one sister Carol Tosczak.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one brother Robert Foiles, one sister Jean Babcock, one grandson and one great granddaughter.
