Florence L. Ayers, 84, of Sublette died Jan. 9,
2014, in her home.
Mass of Christian burial will be at 10:30 a.m.
Tuesday in Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church,
Sublette, with the Rev. Joel Lopez officiating.
Burial will be at St. Mary's Cemetery, Sublette.
Visitation will be at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday in the
church. Merritt Funeral Home, Mendota, is in
charge of arrangements.
She was born April 6, 1929, in La Salle to
Michael and Katherine Witalka. She married
Robert L. Ayers Nov. 20, 1954, in St. Hyacinth
Church, La Salle.
She was a graduate of La Salle-Peru Township
High School and a member of Our Lady of
Perpetual Help Church.
She is survived by one son, Craig (Darlene)
Ayers of Compton; one daughter, Susan (Jeff)
Wolf of Peru; five grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband on
Jan. 14, 2008; two brothers and one sister.
Memorials may be directed to Our Lady of
Perpetual Help Church or the donor's choice.
