Florence Lillian Stevenson, 92, of Mendota died June 10, 2011, in Heritage Manor Nursing Home, Mendota. Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Merritt Funeral Home, Mendota with the Rev. Larry Sheaves officiating. Burial will be at Wisner Cemetery, Ophir Township. Visitation is one hour prior to services Tuesday at the funeral home. She was born Oct. 10, 1918, in Ophir Township to Andrew and Florence (Brearly) Stevenson. She helped her brother, Lawrence, farm prior to 1964, and also worked at Stewart-Warner Hobbs Division Co., Spring Valley, for 20 years. She is survived by three nieces, Diane Zinke of Mendota, Marilyn Sapp of Muse, Okla., and Debbie Arjes of Earlville; one nephew, Dennis Rutishauser of Mendota; and was a loving and caring great-aunt to Connor Arteaga, Joe Arjes, Jennifer Davis, Julie Hammann, Marissa Rutishauser and Brady Rutishauser. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Gifford and Lawrence, two sisters, Leone Rush and Virginia Rutishauser, and one nephew, Gary Whitmore. Memorials may be directed to the donor's choice.
