Floyd E. Sellers, 80, of Compton died May 16, 2011, in Mendota Community Hospital. Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday in Immanuel Lutheran Church, Compton, with the Rev. Jamie Wallace officiating. Burial will be at Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery, Compton. Visitation is 5-8 p.m. Thursday in Merritt Funeral Home, Mendota. Mr. Sellers was born July 21, 1930, in Harding to Charles and Leola (Aitken) Sellers. He married Frances Boltz on Aug. 7, 1955, in Earlville. He was an elevator operator in Earlville and Meriden and was the manager at Welland. He also assisted area farmers in their operations. He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church. He is survived by his wife, Frances of Compton; three sons, Steve (Trish) Sellers of Paw Paw, Chuck (Linda) Sellers of Paw Paw and Don (Gay) Sellers of Earlville; nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and three brothers, Nick (Lena) Sellers of Earlville, Calvin (Martha) Sellers of Earlville and Ralph (Sandi) Sellers of Cobden. He was preceded in death by one brother and one great grandson. Memorials may be directed to the family.
