Frances Dee Castle, 47, of Mendota died Sept. 14, 2009, in her home from lung cancer. A memorial service will be at 7 p.m. Friday in Merritt Funeral Home, Mendota, with the Rev. Dale Dykstra officiating. Burial will be at a later date. Visitation is 5-7 p.m. Friday in the funeral home. She was born Feb. 8, 1962, in Elizabethtown, Ky., to John and LaDonna (Wilman) O'Mara. She worked as a certified nurse's assistant at nursing homes. She is survived by one daughter, Jennifer Castle of Mendota; one son, Matthew Williams of Mendota; four grandchildren; and two sisters, Margaret (Mike) Cotter of Fort Wayne, Ind., and Judy (Dave) Kaniewski of Williamsport, Ind. She was preceded in death by one son, Michael Dane Williams on March 1, 2009; and her parents. Memorials may be directed to the family.
