Frances Donohue, 94, of
Mendota died Sept. 16, 2013,
in Willow Crest Nursing
Pavilion, Sandwich.
Services will be at 11 a.m.
Friday in Merritt Funeral
Home, Mendota, with the
Rev. Jeff Schlesinger officiating.
Burial will be at Chapel
Hill Cemetery, Dixon.
Visitation is one hour
prior to services Friday at the
funeral home.
She was born Oct. 2,
1917, in White Pigeon,
Mich., to S.W. and Louise
(Oaks) Naylor. She married
J. Corbus Hoffman in Nov.
1938; he preceded her in
death in 1964. She later married
Peter J. Donohue on Nov.
18, 1972; he preceded her in
death in February 2007.
She was a graduate of
Dixon High School. She was
a member of First United
Methodist Church, Mendota.
She is survived by one daughter,
Diane (Norman) Schlesinger
of Plano; one son, John (Sandra)
Hoffman of Raleigh, N.C.; one
stepdaughter, Carol (Jeff) Horan
of Goodyear, Ariz.; one stepson,
Eugene (Jeanette) Donohue of
Sarasota, Fla.; 12 grandchildren;
and 18 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husbands,
she was preceded in
death by two brothers.
