Frances B. Kilgour, 88, of Mendota died Dec. 22, 2010, in Mendota Lutheran Home. Cremation rites will be accorded with a memorial Mass to be scheduled at a later date in Holy Cross Church, Mendota. Merritt Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements. She was born Oct. 2, 1922, in Chicago to Michael and Rose (Szymkowska) Kuryla. She married Barry Kilgour on Oct. 5, 1946, in Chicago. Mrs. Kilgour moved to Mendota from Arizona in 2004 and attended Holy Cross Church, Mendota. Survivors include one daughter, Barbara (Michael) Guilfoyle of Mendota; two grandchildren, Katie (Tyler) Stevenson and Kristopher Guilfoyle; one great-grandson, Gavin Stevenson; one brother, Edward (Carol) Kuryla of Elgin; and two sisters, Josephine Kuryla and Anna Fiegel, both of Chicago. She was preceded in death by her husband in January 2002; one brother; and three sisters.
