Frances C. LaBelle, 96, of Mendota died Oct. 24, 2009, in Mendota Community Hospital. Graveside services were at 10:30 a.m. today at Holy Cross Cemetery, Mendota, with the Rev. Fredi Gomez Torres officiating. Visitation was 3:30-5:30 p.m. Sunday in Merritt Funeral Home, Mendota. She was born April 2, 1913, in Paris, Ill., to Isaac and Emma (Rowe) Conard. She married Norman LaBelle on Sept. 2, 1937. She was employed by Grumman Aircraft during World War II. She is survived by one daughter, Suzanne Su of Mendota; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1988; one great-great-grandchild; two sisters and two brothers. Memorials may be directed to Holy Cross Church.
