Frances Rapp, 84, of Mendota
died Nov. 1, 2014, in
Aperion Care, Amboy.
Funeral services will be
at 11 a.m. Wednesday in
Lighthouse Baptist Church,
La Salle, with the Rev. Tom
McMurtry officiating. Burial
will be at Holy Cross Cemetery,
Mendota.
Visitation will be from
9 a.m. until the time of
services Wednesday in the
church. Merritt Funeral
Home, Mendota, provided
arrangements.
She was born Nov. 23,
1929, in Bowling Green,
Ky., to Roy and Mamie
(Loafman) Johnson. She
married Francis Rapp on
Jan. 29, 1968, in Freeport.
She was a member of Lighthouse
Baptist Church, La
Salle.
She is survived by her
husband; three daughters;
Bernadette (Terry) Hambley
of Dixon, Angela (Ron)
Schmitt of Mendota and
Elizabeth Rapp of Dixon;
three sons; Joseph Rapp of
Rockford, Stephen Rapp
of Amboy and Anthony
(Margaret) Rapp of Mendota;
eight grandchildren,
16 great-grandchildren; six
great-great-grandchildren;
and one sister, JoAnn Roche
of Auburn, Ky.
She was preceded in
death by one grandson, one
great-granddaughter, and six
brothers and sisters.
