Frank A. Grzeskiewicz, 84, of Heritage Health Care, Mendota died Feb. 11, 2012, in Heritage Health. There will be no services. A private burial will be at a later date. Cremation rites have been accorded. There will be no visitation. Merritt Funeral Home, Mendota provided the arrangements. He was born July 1, 1927, in Dubois Township, Ill., to Frank and Antonina (Malawy) Grzeskiewicz. He served with the U.S. Navy in the Pacific during World War II. He was a carpenter. He counted among his friends the staff and residents of Heritage Health. He will be remembered for singing and playing his guitar and accordian and his love of playing bingo and rummy. He is survived by two daughters, Pat (Jim) Johnson of Compton and Marj (Louie) Redcliff of Compton; two sons, William (Sandy) Grzeskiewicz of Mendota and Michael (Kathi) Grzeskiewicz of Maple Park; and seven grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Leo and Paul Grzeskiewicz; and two sisters, Clara Smugala and Gertrude Dreas. Memorials may be cirected to Heritage Health Care, Mendota.
