Frank H. Metzen, 78, of Paw Paw and a former Mendota resident died April 26, 2017, in his residence.

A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in Merritt Funeral Home, Mendota with the Rev. Susan Presley officiating.

He was born June 29, 1938, in Mendota to Frank and Maevis (Tegen) Metzen. He was a 1957 graduate of Mendota High School and was employed by Chicago Bridge and Iron before his retirement.

He is survived by two sisters, Barbara Hanson of Glen Ellyn and Marlene (Silas) Light of Watseka; two brothers, Kendall (Judith) Metzen of Montgomery and Gary Metzen of Port Richey, Fla.; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
