Gary L. Rogers, 59, of Mendota died at 12:45 a.m. May 19, 2010, in Olathe Medical Center, Olathe, Kan. A memorial service for family and close friends will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday in Merritt Funeral Home, Mendota, with the Rev. Mike Morrell officiating. Cremation rites have been accorded. Visitation is 4-7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Mr. Rogers was born Oct. 3, 1950, in Mendota to Donald "Rusty" and Betty (Simpson) Rogers. He married Deborah Myers on Oct. 23, 1971, in Holy Cross Church, Mendota. He attended Mendota High School and began working at Conco Inc. in June 1969. He was a field service engineer and later worked in sales until April 1987. He was employed by Black Bros. Co. from August 1987 until July 2009, where he worked in the lab, as a field service engineer and an applications specialist. He was a member of Mendota Sportsmen's Club for many years and Mendota Moose Lodge. He is survived by his wife, Deb of Mendota; two sons, Grant (Angie) Rogers of Olathe and Sgt 1st Class Benjamin (Tanya)
