Gary L. Voss, 73, of Sublette died April 22nd in his home. Funeral Services will be held Saturday at 11:00a.m., in the First United Methodist Church, Mendota with the Rev. Michael Morrell officiating. Burial will be at Trinity Memory Gardens, Rochelle. Visitation will be one hour prior to services in the church.
Gary was born April 23, 1941 in Compton to Seymour and Rita (Cox) Voss.
He graduated from Rochelle Township High School and was a carpenter all his life. He loved making hand-turned wooden bowls. He married Sharon Simpson. Two children were born of this marriage.
He is survived by his daughter Jennifer (Mark) Mackey of Temple, TX.; his son Jerry (Rebecca) Voss of Kyle, TX.; brother William Voss of Rockford; two sisters Mary (Richard) Ramsey of Rockford and Nancy (Robert) Mittan of Steward; two grandchildren Lieghton and Leighanna Mackey; and special companion Carla Zimmerman of Sublette.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother John Voss and sister Susan Harms.
