Geneva Christine "Aunt Teeny" Knowlton, 82, of Mendota went to see the Lord on Sept. 15, 2016, surrounded by her family and friends at her home after an extended illness.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in First United Methodist Church, Mendota with the Rev. Kent Svendsen officiating. Burial will be at Wisner Cemetery, Ophir Township.
Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Monday in the church. Merritt Funeral Home, Mendota provided arrangements.
Geneva was born Oct. 10, 1933, in Somerset, Ky., to James and Florence (Richards) Black. She married Delbert L. Knowlton on June 29, 1952, in Meriden.
She is survived by her husband, Delbert of Mendota; her four children, Michael (Kimberly) Knowlton of DeKalb, Rodney (Tina) Knowlton of Lake Carroll, James (Cindy) Knowlton of Dixon and Sandra (Brad) Bradford of Triumph; 12 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and four brothers and four sisters.
She was preceded in death by her beloved daughter, Patricia Sue; one brother and one sister.
Geneva's family was first and foremost her No. 1 joy throughout her life.
