Obituary
Gerald J. Funfsinn 79 of Arlington passed away February 4, 2019 at Heritage Health, Mendota.
Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Peterstown with Father Peter Pilon officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery with military rites by Mendota VFW Post 4079. There will be no visitation. Merritt Funeral Home, Mendota is handling arrangements.
Gerald was born April 15, 1939 in Mendota to Harold and Clara (Auchstetter) Funfsinn.
He attended Saints Peter and Paul grade school and graduated from St. Bede Academy in 1956. He served in the National Guard from 1962-1967. He was a member of Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church and Knights of Columbus. He was an avid flyer and was a member of the Experimental Aircraft Association.
He is survived by two sisters Marilyn Hawkins of Mendota and Eileen Funfsinn of Arlington; his brother Kenneth (Sharon) Funfsinn of Mendota; and two nieces Mary Beth Hawkins of Peru and Juli Hawkins of Mendota.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
