Germaine A. McGill, 93, of Mendota passed away January 10, 2022 at Heritage Health, Mendota.

Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday, January 13, 2022 at 11:30 a.m. at Holy Cross Church, Mendota with Father Peter Pilon officiating. Burial will be at Queen of Heaven Cemetery, Hillside at 11:30 a.m. Friday January 14, 2022. Visitation will be Thursday from 9:30-11:00 a.m. in the Merritt Funeral Home, Mendota.

Germaine was born July 13, 1928 in Chicago to James and Mary (Slapak) Plotz. She married Alvin McGill on November 19, 1949 in Cicero.

Germaine was a member of Holy Cross Church.

She is survived by her daughter Janice Janowicz of Warrenville; two sons Thomas McGill of Warrenville and James (Carol) McGill of Mendota; 8 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband in 2007 and 2 sisters Eleanore and Marion.
