Gladys L. Bieser, 100, of Mendota died March 25, 2012, in Mendota Lutheran Home. Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in St. John's Lutheran Church, Mendota, with the Rev. Dale Peterson officiating. Burial will be at Restland Cemetery, Mendota. Visitation will be one hour prior to services Tuesday at the church. Merritt Funeral Home, Mendota provided the arrangements. She was born Jan. 14, 1912, in Compton to Albert and Anna (Politsch) Mathesius. She married Wesley G. Bieser on Dec. 15, 1943, in Compton. She was a member St. John's Lutheran Church, active in project days and mission action. She is survived by one daughter, Myrna Simon of Mendota; two grandchildren, Jeff Simon and Kimberly Bauer; and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband on July 26, 2004; and one brother. Memorials may be directed to St. John's Lutheran Church, Mendota Lutheran Home or Horizon House.
