Gladys M. (Schwingle) Van Norden, 83, of LaMoille passed away November 6, 2019 in her home surrounded by her family.
Funeral services will be Monday at 11:00 a.m. at Community United Methodist Church, LaMoille with Rev. David Jungnickel officiating. Burial will be in Greenfield Cemetery, LaMoille. Visitation will be Sunday from 2-5 p.m. in the church.
Gladys was born August 20, 1936 in LaMoille to Frank and Esther (Wade) Schultz.
She was a 1954 graduate of LaMoille High School. She worked as a waitress for several restaurants during her life, was a school bus driver for many years and was head cook at LaMoille Allen Grade School. She was a member of Community United Methodist Church and Mendota Elks Lodge.
She is survived by her daughter Deborah (Bill) Bradley of LaMoille; two sons Jim (Sue Wagner) Schwingle and Dave (Mary Anne) Schwingle both of LaMoille; a sister Audrey Barlow of LaMoille; 10 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren and extended Ward family from Iowa.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband and father of her children Eugene Schwingle, her second husband Leonard Ward, her third husband Carol Van Norden and her sister Betty Oberschelp.
Memorials may be directed to the Community United Methodist Church, LaMoille Fire and Ambulance, LaMoille-Clarion Public Library or the National Kidney Foundation.
