Obituary

Glen Theodore "Tad "Barney" Wamhoff, 69, of LaMoille, entered eternal life on Wednesday, June 5, 2024 at Allure of Mendota.

To honor Glen's wishes there will be no funeral service. A private memorial will be held by his immediate family.

Glen was born on May 31, 1955 to Glen "Barney" and Elaine (Meisel) Wamhoff. He married Connie Willard on April 2, 1982.

He graduated from LaMoille High School and went on to become a beloved member of the community. In his early career he worked for Hulcher Services responding to derailments for locomotives and rail cars. Later on, he mastered the craft of masonry and eventually opened his own business: Wamhoff Tuckpointing and Restoration. His attention to detail and dedication can be seen in buildings such as the Mendota Train Station and LaMoille-Clarion Library.

Glen is survived by his wife Connie; one son Josh (Katie) Wamhoff; one daughter Brandi Wamhoff; two grandchildren Levi Wamhoff and Logan Wamhoff and two brothers Tim Wamhoff and Mark (Janet) Wamhoff.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Les Wamhoff in 2008.

Memorials may be directed to Allure of Mendota and Community United Methodist Church of LaMoille. Merritt Funeral Home, Mendota is assisting the family.
