Glenda “Linda” S. Knowlton, 78, of Mendota, Illinois, passed away April 30, 2026, in Mendota. She was born October 18, 1947, in Sheffield, Alabama, the daughter of Earl and Methyl (Carmack) George.

Linda was united in marriage to Gerald “Pete” Knowlton, who preceded her in death in 2020. She cherished the time she spent with her family and friends. She especially enjoyed genealogy and keeping in touch with loved ones over the years. She loved being outdoors and tending to her flowers. Her warm personality and caring spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her son, Alexis Soto; thirteen grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and three daughters by marriage, Monica Zimmerlein, Michelle Barkman, and Melonie Dearborn.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Gerald “Pete” Knowlton, in 2020; and a son, Anthony Soto.
