Obituary

Glenn Hall Sr., 85, of Mendota died Aug. 10, 2010, in Mendota Community Hospital. Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in First Presbyterian Church, Mendota, with the Rev. Dale Dykstra officiating. Burial will be at Restland Cemetery, Mendota, with military rites by VFW Post 4079. Arrangements are by Merritt Funeral Home, Mendota. Mr. Hall was born Jan. 27, 1925, in Fireco, W.Va., to Walter and Edith (Holland) Hall. He married Kathaleen Keener. He served in World War II in the U.S. Army in the European Theater of Operations with the 27th

Aircraft Artillery Group.
He was employed by Loyola University, Chicago, in the Water Tower Campus as a building engineer before his retirement. He attended First Presbyterian Church in Mendota. He is survived by his wife; two sons, Glenn (Teresa) Hall Jr. of Mendota and Jeffrey (Betty) Hall of Wheeling; two daughters, Shirley (Mark) Caruso of Chicago and Susan (Stephen) Spathelf of Naperville; nine grandchildren; and one sister, June Grubbs of Delaware, Ohio; and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two brothers. Memorials may be directed to the family.
