Gwendolyn Sander Borgia, 88, of Spring Hill, Fla., formerly of Mendota, died Sept. 18, 2008, in Brooksville Regional Hospital, Brooksville, Fla. There will be no funeral services. Burial will be at Restland Cemetery, Mendota. Visitation is 2-4 p.m. Sunday in Merritt Funeral Home, Mendota. She was born March 10, 1920, in Princeton to J. Arthur and Esther (Moreland) Pierson. She married Phillip Sander. He died in 1980. She married Ralph Borgia. He died in 2006. She was a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Spring Hill, Fla., and a founder, past president and current member of Business and Professional Women's Association. She worked as a bank teller with Sun Trust Bank in Florida before her retirement. She is survived by one son, Richard (Sandy) Sander of Spring Hill, Fla.; one daughter, Barbara (Terry) Nichols of Washburn, Wis.; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and one brother, Robert (Norma) Pierson of Leesville, La. In addition to her husbands, she was preceded in death by one brother and one sister.
