Halcyon "Sue" Maria (DeVore) Faber, 96, of LaMoille, passed away Monday, December 12, 2022 at Heritage Health, Walnut.

Private family only services will be Monday, December 19, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at Community United Methodist Church, LaMoille with Rev. David Jungnickel officiating. Burial will follow in Greenfield Cemetery, LaMoille. Merritt Funeral Home, Mendota is handling arrangements.

Sue was born June 14, 1926 in Princeton to James and Emma (Veverka) DeVore. She married Glade R. Faber on September 22, 1946 in Princeton.

She graduated from Princeton High School and attended the University of Illinois. She was a member of Community United Methodist Church and Home Extension. She raised her family on the farm and she enjoyed gardening, flowers, baking, sewing, cross stitch, traveling, her pets and spending time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her two daughters Beverly Faber of Princeton and Ellen (Bill) Stouffer of LaMoille; two sons Dr. Martin (Linda) Faber and Dr. Arnold (Anne) Faber both of Princeton; 17 grandchildren and several great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband in 1977, two sons James Faber and Stuart Faber and two brothers Robert DeVore and Lawrence DeVore.
