Harriett E. Wood, 91, of Mendota died March 31, 2014, in Mendota Lutheran Home. Services will be at 11:30 a.m. Thursday in Merritt Funeral Home, Mendota, with the Rev. Michael Morrell officiating. Burial will be at Restland Cemetery, Mendota. There will be no visitation. She was born April 14, 1922, in Holcomb to Henry and Grace (Boumgarden) Rippentrop. She married Carl Wood on June 11, 1949, in Sycamore. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Mendota. Before retirement, she worked at Mendota Food Center and Mendota Trouser Factory. She is survived by one sis ter, Berniece Brace of Byron; and one brother, Glen (Mary) Rippentrop of Monroe Center. She was preceded in death by her husband on Feb. 5, 2007, and four brothers. Memorials may be directed to the donor's choice.
