Helen J. Faulk, 90, of Stonecroft
Village, Mendota died Dec. 19, 2012,
in Mendota Community Hospital.
Services will be at 11 a.m.
Saturday in First Presbyterian
Church, Mendota with the Rev.
David Tellinghuisen officiating.
Burial will be at Restland Cemetery,
Mendota.
Visitation is one hour prior to services
Saturday in the church. Merritt
Funeral Home, Mendota provided
arrangements.
She was born March 16, 1922, in
Athens to Fred and Bertha (Hoos)
VanMeter. She married Dr. Elliott
Faulk on Oct. 4, 1943, in Chicago.
She was a graduate of Illinois State
University with a bachelor's degree
in education.
Mrs. Faulk was a member of
First Presbyterian Church where she
served as a deacon and on the church
session. She was a member of the
home extension, PEO, a past-board
member of Mendota Area Christian
Food Pantry and Graves-Hume
Public Library.
She is survived by one son, Dr.
David (Ellen) Faulk of Somonauk;
two daughters, Arlene Faulk of
Chicago and Carol Senneff of Ann
Arbor, Mich.; four grandchildren,
Joanne Faulk, David S. Faulk, Steven
Senneff and Stacy Senneff; and eight
great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by
her husband on April 26, 1983;
one brother, Allen; and one sister,
Eleanor.
