Obituary
Helen L. Jackson, 101 of Mendota passed away October 28, 2019 at Heritage Health, Mendota.
Memorial services will be held at a later date. Cremation rites have been accorded. Merritt Funeral Home, Mendota is in charge of arrangements.
Helen was born May 30, 1918 in Hannibal, MO. to Roger and Dorothy (Atkins) Sidener. She married Zachary G. Jackson on January 18, 1 946 in Westfield, NJ.
She was a farm wife and later moved to Columbia, MO. where she became head cashier at the Veteran's Hospital. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
Helen is survived by her son, John (Kathi) Jackson of Mendota; her brother Roger D. (Sue) Sidener of San Angelo, TX; her sister Sondra Hotchkiss of Las Vegas; three grandchildren Brian (Heather) Jackson of Sycamore, Scott (Sasha) Jackson of LaSalle and Julie Jackson of Mendota and nine great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband on September 9, 1967 and her son Dale Jackson of April 26, 2001.
