Herberta C. Rhea, 91, of Mendota died November 9th in Heritage Health, Mendota. Funeral services will be Friday at 11:00a.m., in the Merritt Funeral Home. Burial will be in Restland Cemetery. Visiation will be one hour prior to the funeral.
Herberta was born November 2, 1924 in Sandwich to Herb and Cora (Lee) Champlin. She married Richard Rhea, Sr. on February 2, 1942 in Earlville.
Herberta worked for Marathon Electric in Earlville and was a beautician for several years. She enjoyed knitting and crocheting and spending winters in Brownsville, TX. with her husband.
She is survived by one son Richard (Sharon) Rhea, Jr. of Sandwich; two daughters Suzanne (Loren) Rich of Mendota and Phyllis (Harland) Hardersen of Mountain Home, AR.; 6 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren and 10 great great grandchildren.
She was preceded by her husband in 1999, one brother and five sisters.
