Irma K. Casstevens, 88, of Mendota, passed away Tuesday, January 17, 2023 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center, Peoria.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, January 21, 2023 at 12:00 p.m. at the Merritt Funeral Home, Mendota with Rev. Mary Bohall officiating. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the start of the service. Private burial will be held at a later date.

Irma was born January 13, 1935 in Germany to Michael and Rita (Degan) Seubert. She married Robert Casstevens on September 1, 1955 in Germany.

Irma worked at the Trouser Factory in Mendota and Westclox in LaSalle. Her passion in life was doing oil, watercolor and china painting.

She is survived by her husband Bob of Mendota; her daughter Joann (Kevin) Meisel of Mendota; her two sons Steven (Petey) Casstevens of Elgin and Mike (Amy) Casstevens of Knoxville, Tennessee; her two brothers Heinz (Erica) Seubert and Kurt Seubert both of Germany; 7 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren and aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister in law Christa Seubert.
