Obituary
Ivan E.Bauer, of Chesterfield, MO, and formerly of LaMoille and Mendota, passed away Sunday, June 12, 2022, at the age of 96.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, July 27, 2022 at 11:30 a.m. at the Community United Methodist Church, LaMoille with Rev. David Jungnickel officiating. Burial will be at Restland Cemetery, Mendota. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until time of services in the church. Merritt Funeral Home, Mendota is handling local arrangements.
Beloved husband of the late Hazel Mae Bauer; cherished son of the late Walter and Minnie Bauer. Devoted father of John (Julie) Bauer, and the late infant daughter, Carol Mae Bauer; loving grandfather of Katherine Anne Bauer, Elizabeth Grace Bauer, and Christopher John Bauer.
Ivan loved to farm and fly airplanes. He got his private pilot license and owned and flew his own helicopter in the 70s. His grandchildren were his world, and he was a loving father and grandfather. Ivan was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
