James Cosby, 81, of Mendota, passed away Friday, October 16, 2026 at his home. He was born December 2, 1944, in Louisville, KY, the son of James and Ila Jean (nee Brown) Cosby. 

James is survived by his daughter, Robin Polen, and significant other, Betty Snuffin. 

Cremation care has been provided. A memorial service will be held at 4:00 P.M. on Thursday, October 22, 2026, at the Horner-Merritt Funeral Home, 800 Monroe Street, in Mendota with Pastor Mary Bohall officiating.
