James "Jim" A. Deihl, 75, of LaMoille, passed away October 15, 2021 at Liberty Village, Princeton.
Funeral services will be Friday, October 22, 2021 at noon at the Community United Methodist Church, LaMoille with Rev. David Jungnickel officiating. Burial will be in Greenfield Cemetery, LaMoille. Visitation will from 10 a.m. until time of services. Lundquist-Merritt Funeral Home, LaMoille is assisting the family.
James was born August 6, 1946 in Chicago to Henry and Florence (Geisler) Deihl. He married Julie Carpenter April 11, 1987 in Van Orin.
Jim received his master's degree in education from the Illinois State University. He was a special education teacher for the LaSalle School District before retiring. He served as an EMT for the LaMoille Ambulance. He was a member of the Community United Methodist Church and was in the dart ball league. He was also a member of the LaMoille Lions Club. Jim enjoyed woodworking and tinkering with things and loved to play trivia.
He is survived by his wife Julie; 3 daughters Becky (Bob Johnson) Crawford, Kimberly (Ricardo Wright) Crawford and Katie (Josh) Faber; sister Linda DiSilvestro; 2 brothers Dennis Deihl and Robert Deihl and 9 grandchildren, Mekyla, Bryant, Damian, Tiara, Bry, Michael, Janiyah, Carpenter John and Flossie.
He was preceded in death by his parents, son Michael J. Crawford and siblings Charles Deihl, Henry Deihl, Joseph Deihl and Cynthia Groeneveld.
