James E. Heiston, 52, of Troy Grove, formerly of Mendota, died Sept. 30, 2009, in Mendota Community Hospital. Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in First Baptist Church, Mendota. The Rev. Tim Kaiser will officiate. Burial will be at Precinct Cemetery, Earlville. Visitation will be one hour prior to services Saturday. Mr. Heiston was born Dec. 8, 1956, in Mendota to Francis "Bud" and Viola (Whitlock) Heiston. He was employed by HCC in Mendota prior to his illness. Survivors include special friend, Diane Elmore of Troy Grove; three brothers, Francis "Mike" Heiston, Ricky (Linda) Heiston and David Heiston, all of Earlville; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents. Memorials may be directed to First Baptist Church or Mendota Community Hospital.
