James Lord Jr., 90, of LaMoille died Dec. 17,
2014, in Manor Court, Princeton.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in Zion Lutheran
Church of Clarion with the Rev. Kevin Weeks officiating.
Burial will be at Clarion Cemetery with military
honors by Mendota VFW Council 4079.
Visitation will be one our prior to services at the church.
Merritt Funeral Home, Mendota provided the arrangements.
James was born Oct. 3, 1924, in Cherry to James and Beatrice
(Brain) Lord.
He married Dorothy Bittner on May 1, 1948, in Immanuel
Lutheran Church, Compton.
James served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He
was a farmer in the LaMoille area since 1955 and was a
member of Zion Lutheran Church of Clarion.
He is survived by one son, James (Annette) Lord of
Neponset; one daughter, Janine (William) Happ of Aledo;
four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; one sister,
Janice Watkins of Peru; and special friend Clara Mae Ansteth of LaMoille.
He was preceded in death by his wife in 1995; one sister
Lillian Noy, and two great-grandchildren.

of Clarion.
