Janet E. Lester, 72, of Mendota, died July 31, 2017 at her home. She requested that no funeral services be held. The Merritt Funeral Home, Mendota is assisting the family.
Janet was born March 20, 1945, in Mendota to Clyde R. and Marjorie E. (Littlewood) Richards. She married Kenneth J. Lester on Sept. 30, 1980 in Ottawa.
She is survived by one son, David E. Miller of Mendota; one brother, Kenneth Richards of Three Rivers, Texas; and one sister, JoAnn Seidel of Bellerive.
She was preceded in death by her husband on June 28, 2003.
She was employed by DeMonte Corp. in Mendota before her retirement.
