Janet B. Stuepfert, 94, a resident of the Mendota Lutheran Home, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 6, 2012, at Mendota Community Hospital in Mendota. Born Oct. 8, 1918, in LaMoille to Frank W. and Doris (Esterday) Grisell, she married Henry Stuepfert Nov. 16, 1938, in Van Orin. He died June 5, 1997. She was a member of the Zion Evangelical Church of Clarion. Surviving are one son, Ronald (Joyce) Stuepfert of Park City, Utah.; one daughter, Kathleen Stuepfert of Bellevue, Wash.; eight grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by one son, David. Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church of Clarion with the Rev. Kevin Weeks officiating. Burial will be in the Clarion Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the services in the church. Memorials may be directed to the Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church of Clarion or the Mendota Lutheran Home. The Merritt Funeral Home in Mendota is in charge of arrangements.
