Jeanne M. (Spriet) Eich, 63, of LaMoille, passed away at home on October 23, 2023, following a brief illness.

Funeral services will be Saturday, November 4, 2023, at the Merritt Funeral Home, Mendota at 3:00 p.m. with the Reverend Mary Bohall officiating. Cremation rites have been accorded and interment of ashes will be a later date when she will be laid to rest next to her husband at St. Paul's Evangelical Cemetery on Old Chicago Road, Rural LaMoille. Honorary pallbearers are her dear friends Kevin and Lorelei Shaver and Mike and Suzie Dolan.

Jeanne (Jean) was born on February 8, 1960, in Mendota to Frank and Darlene (Becker) Spriet.

She was raised the eldest of four children in Mendota, attending Holy Cross Elementary School and Mendota High School graduating in 1978. She married her best friend and love of her life, Brian Eich, on December 4, 2002, in Cripple Creek Colorado. He preceded her in death on May 25, 2015.

Jean was employed by the Mendota Lutheran Home from November 1978 until its closing in February 2020. She then worked as the Senior Center Coordinator at Mendota Area Senior Services (MASS) from June 2020 until October 2023. She touched countless lives during her forty-five years in the senior care field.

Jean is survived by her siblings Julie (Steve) Szigeti, Danny (Dawn) Spriet both of Mendota, and Connie Buchanan of Ottawa, as well as her in-laws, twelve nieces and nephews, and her beloved four-legged "girls" Braydee and Cady.

In addition to her husband Brian, she was also preceded in death by her parents, and brother-in- law Marv Buchanan.
