Jerome F. Pierson, 75,
of Oglesby, formerly of
LaMoille, died at 2:30 p.m.
Dec. 2, 2014, in St. Francis
Medical Center, Peoria from
complications associated
with chronic lymphocytic
leukemia.
Cremation and burial is
being arranged by Merritt
Funeral Home, Mendota.
Honoring his wishes, there
will be no visitation. Private
graveside services for immediate
family only will be
Dec. 13 at Van Orin Repose
Cemetery.
Jerry was born May
1, 1939, in Princeton to
John and Marian (Hock)
Pierson. He graduated
from LaMoille High School
in 1957 and married Ruth
Becker on May 15, 1960 in
Perkins Grove. She preceded
him in death in November
2001. He married
Barbara Campbell of Princeton
in September 2005.
They resided in Arkansas
for a short time before moving
to Oglesby in 2011.
He is survived by his
wife Barb; three daughters,
Deb (Jerry) Perez of
South Elgin, Kim Pierson
of Springfield, and Tricia
(John) Keagy of East Alton;
one granddaughter, Kelsey
Perez; one sister, Marylu
Pickell of Sevierville, Tenn.;
stepchildren, Tina (Bill)
Waltenberger, Terry (Deshay)
Fowler, Mark (Nancy)
Fowler, Bob (Ernestine)
Fowler; 10 stepgrandchildren;
two stepgreat-grandchildren
and many nieces
and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials
may be directed to St.
Francis Medical Center/
Peoria-Forest Park Cancer
Unit or fourth-floor Medical
ICU, CLL Foundation or
American Heart Association.
