Jerrene L. Gray, 91, of Peru and formerly of Mendota, passed away Thursday, March 23, 2023 at Henry Rehabilitation and Nursing.

Services will be Thursday, March 30, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at St. John's Lutheran Church, Mendota with Vicar Anthony Windau officiating. Burial will be in Restland Cemetery, Mendota. Visitation will be one hour prior to the services in the church. Merritt Funeral Home, Mendota is assisting the family.

Jerrene was born February 27, 1932 in Compton to Walter and Mabel (Caruth) Heiman.

Jerrene was a 1949 graduate of Mendota High School. She worked in Mendota at Spurgeon's, Hart Carter and Goslin Drug Store. She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church. She enjoyed watching the television show Cops and riding her electric scooter around the neighborhood.

She is survived by her son Tom (Barb) Gray of Isanti, Minnesota; her daughters Lori (Ed) Antoniewicz of Oshkosh, Wisconsin and LaVonne Diemer of Arizona of; her son in law Scott (Julie) Curley of Peru; 5 grandchildren and several great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her daughter Kris Curley and her brother Marvin Heiman.
