Jerry D. Husband, 83, of Mendota, passed away Friday, June 5, 2026, at OSF St. Anthony Medical Center in Rockford. He was born November 24, 1942, in Memphis, MO, the son of James and Dorothy (nee Martin) Husband. He married Connie Wear on October 17, 1970 in Galesburg, IL.

Jerry is survived by his wife, Connie, of Mendota; six children, Dawn (Troy) Tatro of Monmouth, IL, Cindy Nelson of Monmouth, IL, Nicholas (Jenise) Husband of Mendota, Jerry E. Husband of Norway, IL, Ritchie Husband of Mendota, and Donna (Duane) Roggy of DePue, IL; 16 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; three siblings, Marion (Ruth) Husband of Oquawka, IA, Larry (Noni) Husband of Mendota, and Doris (Richard) Bates of Florida; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Jerry is preceded in death by five siblings, Jim, Olin, Jean, Glenda, and Judy.
